I have Verizon and the international plan which covers Canada and Mexico but curious what is needed for Ireland. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Looks like you need Verizon's Travel Pass which is $10/day

If your phone is paid off, you can use an eSIM from
ETA, just noticed the link didn't paste. The eSIM company is HolaFly.

I've got Verizon and when I travel internationally I turn on my phone as soon as I land. Verizon sends me a text saying it'll be $10 a day for their international travel pass, but through the years/months I accrue so many days. I'll use up the days I've accrued first, then pay the $10 a day. Usually only have to pay for a couple of days.

Look up e-sim cards. Pretty easy to set up and much cheaper than what Verizon will charge you.

Used to do eSim but int'l is generally $10/day and wifi is so prevalent that it's generally not even worth the couple bucks savings for the small inconvenience. I just leave on airplane mode and connect to wifi in hotel and occasionally at lunch unless I really need it. You can download maps on Google Maps beforehand. Obviously it depends on how much you actually need service second to second for your trip.

Few options:
- TravelPass with Verizon for $10/day
- Depending on length of trip, might be worth to just add international plan at $100 for 30 days
- eSIM with Airalo for anything way cheaper than paying Verizon.
I usually opt for Airalo, but that's personal preference.

I’ve got Verizon. If you sign up for international you don’t have to do anything. As soon as you land in a different country you will get a text message saying your international coverage is working and will cost $10 every 24 hours while you are out of country. No charge until you leave the country. It works great.

When I went to Australia/New Zealand last year, we signed up for Google Fi.
They send you a SIM card (or you can use an eSim).
It's a new phone number, but it's $55/month and works in most international places.
It's way cheaper (and higher data limits) than Verizon @ $10/day.
You just switch your SIM back and cancel the service when you return.

Thank you! Planning on going to Denmark and Spain. I have been trying to figure out the international phone service plan.

Maps.me is based on open source data and makes very clear which maps you’ve downloaded, which is super important. You can download languages ahead of time for Microsoft translate etc and not have to rely on net access.
Whether you do am eSIM online, at the airport, or overpriced Verizon service, do the basics of turning off uploads and downloads of pictures, podcasts, videos etc when not on WiFi.

Be careful Roaming... don't want your bill to be Dublin in surprise.
