What percent chance do you think Nuss returns for 2025.

I have it higher than 50 % at this exact moment. He beats Ole Miss with an impressive game… we’re gonna see him mocked as high as top ten…

Very slim . He is putting out some great film that a lot of nfl teams will love . If he continues to play like this he will probably be a first round pick and he’s gone . Barring a serious injury . I know this might blow some people’s minds but Nuss is a better pure passer than Jd. Obviously with Jd’s running ability he is hard to defend , but making all throws Nuss is better . Daniels running ability and deep ball are elite , but his short and intermediate throws are not that great.

10% if he keeps up what he's doing now. Plus new OL next year.

If he keeps playing like he has through 3 games, he will absolutely leave.
No reason not to especially with having to rebuild the O line next year.
That’s why this year was so critical.

He should return for his Heisman campaign during his 5th year. Joe Burrow and Jayden Dsniels both stayed 5 years and look how it benefitted them with their best years ahead of them.
Look at all the QB's that left with a year of eligibility left and they're not exactly setting the NFL world on fire. Justin Fields could have benefitted with another year at Ohio State, Dwayne Haskins (RIP) left a year early, and on and on.

Nuss could use more than a season of starts (JD had 50+), he should stay but he probably won’t.
25% chance he recognizes this and stays.

He’ll have a great game, but that game will be like 52-28 OM or something. We do not have a good team.

Hopefully Hurley is ready if he doesn’t return.

Leaving is probably the right move. You lose 4/5 on the OL, your TE, WR1 and WR3 at least, possibly Hilton and maybe Anderson as well. You also lose your starting running back.
If he goes 3500+ yards, 40TD/10INT, he's gone. He's on pace for 4,053 yards, 42 TD/6 INT. He's completing 71% of his passes. He is more than likely a 1st round pick with those numbers. Let's see where he's at during the open date before the Bama game.

Then we have a good defense next year, brand new QB, and rebuilding O line. Then we’ll fix those things and something else will go wrong.

Underwood starts day 1. Number 1 recruits and generational talents like him don’t come to sit the bench.
Nuss comes back. He sits 1 year.
If not. Underwood’s team.

If so, likely gone. If not and Tigers don't make playoff, he should come back and shine in 25.

THIS 100%
JD struggled throwing receivers open the first year and also in the first game of the season last year. But actually turned the corner and continues to grow.
Nussmeier is the better pure passer

Thing I think hurts Nuss draft wise is size..

I don’t see him coming back. He may not go in the first round, but he should be in the second round at least.

The chance of getting hurt is way too great for any good player to hang around an extra year. Especially not with a top recruit coming in. Ask Quinn Ewers.
