Reviewing the boxscore and this was a totally bizarre gameplan

27 rushes(not counting the 2 from Carr), 26 for Kamara. 1 from Williams, who admittedly isn’t good, but give him 5 carries to give AK a blow.
0 catches by Shaheed and only 5 targets. Finished the game with zero offensive touches.
25 pass attempts by Carr- 10 came in the 4th Q.
I appreciate sticking to the run because it’s been so good, but it wasn’t hitting today. Get Shaheed the ball any way you can. Take a deep shot for the sake of taking a deep shot.

As fast as he is we should be running him on cross routes and curls.

Saints played vanilla this game because 2 of the next 3 are against divisional opponents. Plus McCoy went down and Taysom didn’t play.

That’s great. We played vanilla for a chance to win the next 2, when this game was sitting right in front of us for the taking.
If anything, this game strengthens Taysom’s HOF case. The Eagles didn’t have to worry about him playing and got to focus all of their D prep on how to shut down normal offense, with normal players, playing normal/traditional positions.

I agree it was very vanilla, but we took 2 deep shots in the end zone to Shaheed today. Neither were particularly well played by him on 2 good passes.

I’ll be sure to pass the message along to the oline who couldn’t hold up in the middle long enough

We came in with a clear plan to run the ball, rightfully so because the eagles had the worst run defense coming in.
But they decided to be good against the run today because this is the NFL and that’s how shite works.
We just didn’t adapt

Nice, you just set up the excuse for losing to KC. How weak of a plan would that be.

We were sticking with the run because the Iggles DL was getting hellacious penetration after McCoy went down. Carr didn't have the time to let plays progress down the field for long throws, and Kamara couldn't get between the tackles to save his life.
The only play left to us that worked was getting short plays out on the perimeter, whether it was a run or a short pass/curl near the sidelines. Once Philly found out we could do nothing in the middle, their defensive plans got very simple.

They were good against the run because Taysom was out and McCoy went down early in the 1st.
Saints are pretty good when they have all their players, but take one or two key players out of the offense and they collapse like pulling the wrong stick out in a game of Kerplunk.
Truth is, we lost because our backups are weak. And without Taysom and McCoy, we became very predictable on offense. Which, in turn, put way too much pressure on our defense which (till yesterday) never had to try and carry the team to a win - at least not this year.

There are some so-called football fans who don`t know squat about
what losing the starting center and having your OL discombobulated.
This OL never played 1 snap together in a game, but I guess you FOOTBALL
geniuses don`t believe that makes a difference. The center is the QB of the line, makes all the blocking calls you lose him you are F`d.FACT

I know the plan was coming in and running it, but when the initial plan doesn't work at all, Maybe chagne it up?
A few passes early would have loosened up that run stuffing Philly was doing.

Dumbest shite I've seen on here in a while.

McCoy getting hurt was huge. Patrick had to move and udoh wasn't very good at guard.

Losing McCoy was massive.
Center is huge in this Shanny zone blocking scheme.
We never recovered when he went down.

Saints offensive line got abused Sunday. I've watched a couple of all 22 cut ups and it was dreadful play up front in the pass and run game. The plays were there to be made but Carr had people in his face almost immediately. The saints did a nauseating job of passing off twists and stunts up front and it limited really anything they'd be able to do or not do.

Saints didn't play vanilla at all. Their offensive line got taken to school by the philly front and it's damn hard to do anything when you can't get at least serviceable o line play. On the tape, there were multiple plays where we had up to 3 offensive lineman turned around looking at Carr during pass pro.
