Kid has five sacks through four games. On pace to break the single season sack record at LSU. He’s having a fricking monster start to the year. He’ll be a game wrecker for us in the coming weeks. Savion Jones also no slouch on the other side with 3.5 sacks on the year.

Opponents will start gameplanning around him which should open up opportunities for other guys as well.

Suggs McKinley jones and swinson is a problem for defenses to block.

You can already see Bo’s effect on interior rush skills. Strong bases low to the ground and great hand use.

Bo Davis and Kevin Peoples are coaching their asses off. Hopefully, the rest of the staff gets on their level.

Womack should be as well. He had a key pass batt-down yesterday. It was great to see him back from injury and McKinley get some game reps and have an impact. He had a solo tackle and a sack. Shand has also done a good job moving inside some to stabilize depth since Guillory went down.

I don’t mean to speak ill of the guy since he was just injured, but Swinson has become what we expected Perkins to be this year. He’s almost unstoppable off the edge without holding. He was held so damn much yesterday and they only called one or two. That tackle was doing everything he could and still didn’t stop him. The TE trying to block him on one of the sacks was hilarious. Ole!

We have a good amount of talent at DE, but Peoples is getting the most of of them, which definitely didn’t happen the previous two seasons.

Davis is a fricking magician in my book. He’s created a serviceable DT rotation out of a D2 transfer, a guy who barely played at Wisconsin, a DE moved inside when our only legit DT went down, a converted OT, and two true freshman. That shouldn’t be possible.

Weeks could become a pass rushing force as well if he can stop missing the quarterback in the pocket.

He will be a top 75 pick this draft and most likely top 50.

Every time he’s on the field he makes an impact. I love him, no homo

Before the season the talk was that our d-line was the weak point...definitely the opposite.

He sure is. And the rest of the dline don't seem to be the weakness. Linebackers and back end are.

Swinson does rush the QB well, but we still need him to set the edge on outside runs.

I think with Perkins out you will see packages with Womack and Swinson on the field together more.

I know Swinson has been a monster, but we need to figure out how to get Womack more snaps also.

The whole defensive staff is working hard. Results will show in the coming years. You can’t just wave a magic wand and all of a sudden things are great

The effort and scheme are a lot better this year. We have some young players that are taking lumps and we have more talent coming

For sure. We need to couple our elite recruiting class with bringing in a few studs from the portal. Quality over quantity needs to be the priority. Looking ahead bringing in a stud MLB, Safety, and an OLman or two is going to be crucial. What’s most promising on the defense is the young talent in the DL we’re gonna have back plus Guillory with the medical redshirt.

They're doing a fantastic job coaching and recruiting. Raymond seems to be also. Where we still seem to need work is LB.
