If you want to limit it to rock, this. If you want to broaden it out to the big band singers of the 1930s and 1940s, the pop vocalists of the 1950s and the folks like Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter and Mavis Staples who defy labels, there’s not enough bandwidth here.
