Anyone read the articles from NOLA or the Illuminator about president Tate’s recent contract incentives?

Essentially built in bonuses for the system maintaining status quo and doing things they’ve been doing for years. I would think his base salary should be for not making things worse and incentives should be for going above and beyond and improving the school?

Yeh, there’s no cheating with that kind of cash at stake.

How,about a bonus for putting Troy Middleton’s name back on the library and issuing an apology to the family

Tate is a good president. Don’t worry about his compensation…it’s above your pay grade

So the bonuses have been well deserved in that case.

He's been a breath of fresh air. Glad that everyone on this site was wrong about him.

Tate is doing a fine job and I don't mind incentive based comp in general.

I'm not sure the contract is a problem...it's the low bar set to trigger the bonus.

However, I think it's just a formality. Tate has actually put progress ahead of politics, and he's killing it!

Yep. Even though Landry tried to block it he still got the new $50 million LGBT center built

But shouldn’t incentive based compensations be for improving things rather than stagnating?
