Labeled it NSWF because of language. Called the RawRoom. They talk about Les having issues with clock management lol. They were apparently all pissed that they had to play Bama again. They wanted Ok St.

Beating Bama was hard enough on the road and having to beat them again after giving Saban a month to prepare……deflating and impossible.

Beating anyone twice at the elite level of athletics is tough to do on any sport. Bama/Saban given a month of prep would have been hard to overcome even if Miles wasn't a moron.

I never understood what made them that it’s fair to give the spot to bama. They didn’t play in the sec championship game. That’s more bumps and bruises. Less healthy.

Wonder if ok state had lost to LSU in the title game how much longer Miles would’ve lasted at LSU

Whole lot of things probably go differently.

11 - LSU title
12 - Who knows what happens to Mathieu if LSU wins. Probably a 50/50 shot at a repeat there
13 - LSU remains the top program in the conference (and maybe country), gets a commit or two that went to Alabama in '12, doesn't have the worst defense in 20 years, probably 11-1 regular season.

If Oklahoma State makes that fricking field goal, the entire landscape of college football is likely very, very different. Miles is probably still the head coach, Saban doesn't go on his run. Infuriating to think about.

I think LSU would've had a chance to win back to back championships had that happen. I say that offensively was much better. In 2012, we had Mett, Odell, Jarvis and Jeremy Hill. Recruiting would've been much different too. Saban and Bama would've still won a few battles but LSU would be right there with them. Hell had Miles not gotten conservative and predictable on that 4th down play and took out Hill to run wildcat with Spencer Ware (where everyone in the stadium knew was coming) we would've won. Hill was killing Bama that game.

They got 40 days to rest and prepare. What was the point of divisional play and the sec cg ?

I was in the team meeting room the night they announced who we'd be playing in the game. When Bama flashed, you could've heard a pin drop. No one said a word.

They had Les miced up with ESPN on a delay, and he turned and asked if we were excited to play them again. After a second or two everyone started shouting and celebrating which is what they showed on ESPN. I'm sure Saban showed the team that clip

I don’t know if I’d go that far but you’re right, a few things would have been different.

The butterfly effect of the LSU/Bama games every year outside of a few is huge. A call here, a missed tackle or tackle made there and the entire season and champion is different.

Time to claim the 2011 Natty. BCS was illegitimate that year.

It's something how close we were to the early 2010s going so much differently. If LSU plays Ok State in the BCSNCG there's no question LSU wins, probably in semi-blowout fashion. Then in 2012 LSU beats Alabama in Tiger Stadium while not under immense pressure to perform to make up for the 21-0 loss. Likely on their way to back to back national championships.

LSU and Les would have beaten Alabama 3 times in a row. Les would have been 4-2 against Saban and 3-1 on National Championships since 2007.

It probably throws off the 2019 timeline, though. And 2019 was the football gods payment to LSU fans for putting up with so much shite since the end of 2011.

Saban beat Georgia in the regular season and then beat them again in the SEC championship game.

Some people can do it.

2012 lost two incredibly close games after losing the best defensive playmaker college football has ever seen

With mathieu they likely win it all

If Miles goes back to back in 2011 and 2012 it's really interesting to game out how much longer he lasts. He would likely been above what Burrow is now in LSU lore.

But the game was in the process of passing him by either way. We still would have slowly faded into mediocrity and it would have been much harder to get rid of him with 3 natties.

I'm guessing he retires some time in the last 5 years and 2019 never happens.
