I believe Woodward overreacted to implement the vacated wins. I hope Les Miles wins his lawsuit. Should have paid an appropriate penalty in dollars. LSU fans and players got screwed. Penalize the booster. Wish fans could have a class action lawsuit. Rece Davis had some comments on this. As a fan that wanted to eventually finish historically over time in top 10 in wins, this was disappointing.

As do I. In the world of the long game, it is possible the AD, and administration in general, also hope Miles wins to give them an easy out against the NCAA.

Sure, give him his wins back.
Doesn’t mean he will make the CFB HOF

The only argument here is whether Vadal Alexander should have been ruled ineligible.

If the Funes payments to his father counted as impermissible benefits, he was ineligible and the wins are vacated by rule. If the Funes payments were not impermissible benefits, the wins should be reinstated.

I think it’s easy to get caught up in emotional arguments about whether Miles “deserved” to have the wins vacated, or whether the school “gave in” during the investigation. But it’s pretty simple at the end of the day. Either Alexander was eligible, or he wasn’t.

Vadal and his dad could legit sue the NCAA for dragging their names in this mess with today's rules in place
at the end of the day it means absolutely nothing and it's not like LSU won a national title during those season Vadal played games

compared to what Kansas did over the years and nothing happening to them is the bigger joke from the NCAA

You can't really vacate a win. Don't care what anyone says.

I really only care about the 3 vacated wins vs Florida because we had just climbed back on top of them after the 90s.

Vadal’s dad got dragged into it because Funes was paying him with stolen money. Funes went to prison over it. The NCAA didn’t drag them into anything. Those details were public long before the NCAA investigation.

I’ve never thought of it from that perspective, but that doesn’t seem that important. Nobody cares about Harvard, Princeton, & Yale’s wins

I hope Miles wins his lawsuit too, provided there are no other penalties or sanctions against LSU other than restoring the wins and correcting the record book.
In fact, I would just let him take a default judgment.

Totally agree. Give us those wins back. Woodward caved big time, he didn't have to bend the knee that quickly.
