That is the one I currently have, its a hand me down from my father. Have friends that have a Redbone and a Riceland, much easier to blow than the Chien Caille. I can do a couple clucks here and there, but not much more than that. Looking for something easier to blow and sound better than what I am currently capable of.
Speck Calls

Want to hear some opinions on speck calls. Looking into Riceland and Redbones, but open to other suggestions as well. Anything to know about barrel size, sound, barrel size, and acrylic vs poly?
also would like one mikechach04@gmail.com. would be greatly appreciated

When trout fishing, 90% of the reds I catch in the gulf are bulls. They are a major pain to deal with and reds along with sharks and porpoises always seem to come through and scatter the school. Although I hear about the lack of reds, there definitely is no shortage of the bulls in the gulf.

Looking for opinions on length, action, and power selection for trout rods. Will be looking into a rod for throwing the following:
-topwater
-"heavy jigging"(1/4-3/8 oz jigheads)
-"light jigging (glide/weightless -1/8 oz jigheads)
-double rig
-popping cork

Any thoughts on if over time this starts to hurt the trout populations? I know that right now it wont be an issue but as these reds start to become bulls, I could see the bull red population getting extremely out of hand without even legally being allowed to keep 1. I would assume that the bull red population will dramatically increase in the near future with nobody keeping any of them. Any thoughts on if this will hurt the future trout populations?
Nighttime Boat Headlight

I am looking into buying a mounted spotlight for running my bay boat in the dark, any suggestions. I was advised to get the rigid Q-series pro hypersport/driving combo, but is a little pricey. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Used to lease it, was hit or miss. Better during teal season than big duck.
Bows: New vs Used, Hoyt vs Matthews
Posted by chazzzz4 on 11/26/24 at 10:00 am
Just getting in to bow hunting, hardly know much of anything about bows. Shot plenty of deer with rifle, wanting to move over to the bow side and don't know where to start. Just wanting opinions on what bow to get. New vs Used?
All blinds limited for us, cant complain

What brand duck decoys are yall running in your spreads? What do yall recommend for a decent quality decoy that is light and wont break the bank? Looking for recommendations/advice before buying.

ridiculous knowing that everyone else in the country worth a shite was paying players too
poppers are always a go to, but gravys and quesadillas are hard to beat as well.
I have a camp in Cypremort Point on Vermillion Bay and I agree with everything you have said about the numbers, but the 16 in trout are becoming harder to come by these days. I like the idea of 14 inches because you 16 inch trout are just too few are far between to make a trip and bring back enough meat for our family.
