The guy wanted to stay anonymous. Just think about that for a second. A federal official wanted to stay anonymous while conducting official FBI business with a citizen.

Since when does the FBI not have a dress code? They used to dress more uniform and it was common to show ID and badge when on official business

FBI policy requires ALL agents to produce their credentials (identification) and their badge for review by anyone they are making CONSENSUAL contact with. Period.
