Companion Animal Alliance. Their place is by Alex Box, fees are usually around $150.

West Feliciana animal shelter is full and they were waiving adoption fees a while back. Might be worth a call.

Biggest problem I’ve had with adoption from shelters is they will have a pet but it’s not ready to be adopted. Have went to shelters many times to look and never left with one but then see the shelter trying to pawn off other animals or running full. Feel bad for those animals in there.

There's a great one on Highland close to Staring Lane. I don't have the name right now unfortunately bur very easy to deal with.

I’m sitting here watching tv since I leave the office @ 11:00 on Friday and my son’s Weimaraner is getting on my nerves. If he don’t leave me alone with his tug toy you can drive to Alabama and pick his butt up.

Have gotten both of my dogs from Friends of the Animals in BR, and they have both been amazing dogs. Adoption folks have been great to work with.
