Fox 8 Meteorologist still has Hurricane Francine heading to New Orleans. And HE WAS RIGHT!!! Fox 8 wins in the Hurricane Francine forecasting contest while NHC is making excuses.
WBRZ Baton Rouge has introduced a 3rd track - this one closer to Baton Rouge.

A little fun exercise - go to the weather app on your phone and use the future radar - it shows Hurricane Francine going to New Orleans.
The battle is brewing - the weather app and Fox News Fradella vs NHS and the weather channel on television.
The weather channel app has it going to New Orleans:

I was watching last night. They had all the spaghetti models showing that it was going to go west of New Orleans and more towards Baton Rouge. They had one outlier model showing it going right over New Orleans. Of course, Fox 8 kept showing that one outlier model over and over again and pretty much ignored the consensus of models, including the official model from the National Hurricane Center.
It’s all about the fear porn.

This is definitely an all eggs in one basket situation.

Local media will tell you to be prepared to die. I’m following Scot Pilie who is a local, but on point, and not stupid like the regular news stations. And I also check out Bob Brock’s page bc he comes out of retirement for storms.

That's how Bob Breck got fired, saying hurricane Isaac (8/29/12) was "COMING RIGHT FOR NEW ORLEANS!!!!" We never lost power in Metairie.
These storms are the meteorologist Super Bowl, they'll pick a path and sell the narrative hard to advance their own brand, reality is irrelevant.

It’s to be dramatic. They can add fear to their broadcast and since it’s New Orleans, it will cause attention for them
