It was clear last night that playing GT was a blessing and LSU still whiffs at pass coverage skills.

thankgoodness they were off target because their WR's were open most of the night.

We desperately need a very good DB coach. Especially since we have Chavis and it may be a soft zone cover scheme again.

Question:

Tell us about Dan Brooks, big Orange guy. Sounds like he is the one Chavis might bring with him.

I was at the game and their WR's were not open all night. Our entire defense, LB's, and DB's played lights out and were in position most of the time.

if you recorded the game, you should watch it and you will find out you are mistaken.. i like to think they were out of position on coverages because they were playing the option though..

As a whole the defense adapted to GT and were in position except for the first play of the game for Tech.

exactly, i think a guy like vance joseph as secondary coach is a bigger hire than O. N.F.L. ties, louisiana ties, and good secondary coach.

i wouldn't mine keeping lane, however, it appears he's gone, so we can get a quality d line coach, quality secondary coach, and a good d.c. has already been hired.

all this is water under the bridge that has been "burnt" .

No it wouldn't.

WHY would an NFL position coach take a "demotion"
back down to be a position coach in college? Doesn't make any sense, unless he just wants to get back home to Louisiana.....

We didn't fix that secondary during this bowl preparation. We stopped Ga Tech at what they do best, with some help from them. You did notice they were trying to pass at first. Thank goodness they couldn't.
