I mostly lurk on here but man, some of you entitled little babies that are crying over a close week 1 loss to a damn good USC team need to reevaluate your life. The defense is much improved, Nuss was dealing, Lacy is an elite WR, and Kelly isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

I agree. You shouldn’t expect to compete for championships at a school like LSU where everything is set up to do so. We need to be satisfied with 9-3 and getting a 10th win in a meaningless bowl game

Accepting mediocrity is settling in across the fan base. We'll be talking graduation rates this time next year ffs.

I’ve never wanted to fight someone any more than I do right now.

We don’t know that USC is that great. We pretty much moved the ball at will most of the game, until we played not to lose. USC also appears to have no running game. I’m not ready to give that credit to our defense. We will have to see how they do in future games. It could well have been 2 mediocre teams are there.

Agreed! Can't be 1958 and 2019 every year. Our 2007 national title team lost to freaking Kentucky and to arky. The 2003 title team lost a game! If you go back and watch this game we were right there. Usc is no slouch, they will do well in the big 10 with LR and that offense.

ForeverLSU97......Get the hell off the board trying to tell people how to react to an LSU football game. All you "Thought Control Police" that tell fans how they should feel after a loss are some annoying "Ego Possessed" lunatics.

So feel all the feels and ride the wave of emotions. Just know that there won’t be 12 undefeated teams in the playoff. And we just face a real opponent and got some real feed back that we are moving in the right direction.

I was pissed and depressed for a day, but have realized that we outplayed a damn good opponent for 50 odd minutes on both o and d,if you scdule a top opponent there is a 50/50 chance of a loss. We had a win in our grasp until the last few seconds, and we will learn to put games like this away as we mature. I would much rather take a loss against a top team than have the humiliation of beating a rent-a-win like some of our SEC brethren did on the opening weekend and like we have done ourselves in the past The first game losses in the last four years were well worth while if the set a standard for the year aand I believe that Kelly is smart enough to learn from them and will use this one to improve the team substantially. Just eliminating stupid penalties would be a valuable lesson, as would learning.
to finish a game that is virtually won with just seconds to play.

Go Tigers. Be proud of your performance and learn from it.

We've lost 5 straight. With all due respect, your math and reasoning might be off.

Okay, what happens when we inevitably drop a handful between Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, Oklahoma? We’re looking at a 3 loss season, minimum.

USC certainly seems to be better than they were last year- but it’s yet to be known if they are anything special yet. I don’t see them taking over the BiG anytime soon. I lean more toward what we saw Sunday was two mediocre- to decent teams- one got out coached and outplayed by the other.

They are not damn good and that’s the problem. They would lose 4 games on our schedule. They would be 6th best in the SEC.

And they beat us.
