Do you believe in ATM etiquette?

If I know I'm going to take a while with my deposits and I see a person or 2 behind me,Ill deposit a portion and then circle back behind the other person. Is this the appropriate action in your opinion. I've had to wait behind people for over 5-10 mins at an ATM and it can be infuriating.

Frankly if feeding cash or checks into an ATM were so frequent a thing for me that I had to ask this question, I'd be more concerned with security than etiquette.

I like to walk up about a foot or 2 at a 45 degree angle behind the person so they can see me and it’s just uncomfortable

I tend to go out of my way to be polite and it is rarely reciprocated so frick it, I’ll take my time.

ATM etiquette

I find myself looking around for suspicious people and cars when pulling thru ATM’s. I always feel like a sitting duck.

I try to be polite to people, but this is some next level shite.

Whenever I see the arm of a certain demographic sticking out of the window of the car ahead of me I know its going to be 10 minutes minimum:
Punch in security code
Turns and talks to passenger
Punch in security code again to get correct number
Taps check balance key
Pulls out receipt
Turns and talks to passenger for 2 minutes
Taps check balance key again cause does not believe the first one
Checks receipt
Turns and talks to passenger again
Access times out
Inserts card again and enters security code
Taps checking account key
Enters $10 withdrawal
Takes $10 from dispenser
Reaches for receipt
Drops receipt
Opens door and gets out to pick up receipt
Gets back in car and sits there talking to passenger
Finally starts the car up and slowly drives off
Punch in security code
Turns and talks to passenger
Punch in security code again to get correct number
Taps check balance key
Pulls out receipt

Nah I’ll take whatever time I need
They can go inside or the drive thru just like I can if time sensitive
Couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve been to the bank or an ATM though. Everything in day to day life is electronic, even depositing checks.

Rarely use ATMs anymore. Mobile check deposit works great. I get cash, but always default to a card, so cash sits until I absolutely need it. Probably hit an ATM twice a year

It never takes me that long at my ATM, because my bank has a night depository where you fill out a deposit slip and just drop the whole envelope in the slot. If it took me long enough where I thought it was inconveniencing folks unnecessarily, I would probably just do what I was comfortable with and come back the next day.

It's like Mississippi rush hour- several dozen cars all backed up around a four-way stop while the people up front all try to wave each other through.

Why not mobile deposit or is this cash?
Also, I like looking at the ATM receipts people leave at casino ATMs to see people have $50 in their checking account taking out $40 and leaving a whole $10 in their account.
That or the ones that just flat-out get denied for NSF.

Because I only go at night when the bank is closed. I'm talking about driving up to it. No need to go inside for me.
