How Would You Handle This Situation Pertaining To A Public Land Duck Blind

I started helping my outdoor loving 17 year old son build a duck blind on the river this weekend. We spent most of the day Friday working on it and went back early this afternoon to finish it up.
We pulled up to it and quickly realize that someone else went and put a good bit of work into it, had it brushed up and all. We got out the boat, looked around and noticed a 2” x 6” with writing on it (pictured below) that said “Call me @337-302-1604 if there’s a problem. We will be hunting here” (first time trying to upload a photo on here so I hope I did it right).
I know it’s first come first serve on public land, but if this guy has enough balls to leave a BS message like this, I’m concerned about how far he may go to hunt “his blind “.
So my question is, how would the outdoor board handle the situation?

I’d call the number first and try to talk to the guy (kid?).
If he comes across as trouble or standoffish I would go out there and recover my lumber

Agreed but setup an anonymous Google Voice number or something similar first. Guy sounds like a jerk, you don't need him having your actual #
If he's a dick about it I'd go tear it down immediately

Call him and if he’s an arse, burn the blind and then sign his number up for every porn sight you can find.

Number shows up for a Samantha Weaver in Lake Charles.

Just chill out in your boat about 100 yards away and skybust the shite out of everything.

You started building a blind on Friday and just 3 days later someone is claiming it?
I'd definitely call them or move it if possible. Screw that dude.
The stories about duck hunting man, seems like it's more a hassle than it's worth.

I’d give the guy a call. He might think a private property border extends further than it does and be mistaken. But that’s unlikely given his “we are hunting here!!” part. If he is a jerk go get your lumber and burn the rest.
Also, assure the 17 yo that this is part of it on public. Don’t want an excited young hunter getting discouraged over potential BS like this.

Burn it. Screw that guy. Go hunt elsewhere or contact ldwf for harassment

I’d tell him to pay for your wood and your labor or he will have to rebuild the stand from scratch

Surely someone on this site will recognize the number. Cmon TD do your thing. I’m betting within a day this place has a name or know the guy.

burn it and get camo netting for the boat and hunt where the ducks land

Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it. Incase anyone is wondering, the blind I’m referring to is located in SW LA near Laccassine, docking out of Gary’s Landing.
My initial thoughts were to contact green jeans to let them know about the situation incase things escalated, but with the overwhelming response of burning it down, it has me thinking lol. I kid, but it really is a shame how some people act these days. Thanks again for all the replies.

Pull out some nails and screws in proper places, and cut through some braces almost all of the way so it collapses when they get on it

We need more details about how this is a “public” blind baw!
