…a national title? Does he even have the capability to?

I have zero confidence he can so why is he here?

I'm not sure anyone can win big at LSU with NIL and Portal in place. This is not 2019

Before last night I’d say yes

After last night, no. He was still a safe hire because the program looked like it was going back in the 90s.

But it is starting to “make sense” at this point. I missed our offense from last year, and the fact that BK lost 3 games with that offense even though our D was terrible, that says it all right there. He made that hire. He promoted Sloan.

I thought he would change his Boy Scout tactics with preparation of the team. He’s preparing the team just like he did with ND and it’s proven not to be good enough to win it all

Never have, never will.

We overpaid for someone to turn the program around after O let it slip.

Nope he can’t win. He has won one big game in his career at LSU and like 0 at ND.

No way he can beat 3 top teams in a row

We are not close to teams like Georgia and Ohio St. But our fans all of a sudden are ok with 9-3 every year.

He seems like a guy whose ceiling is about 10 wins a year. I don't see a coach who can win it all.

Not enough discipline. Probably a great CEO in a board room with 10 mbas but not with elite football players.

Yes, easily actually. Just don't schedule stupid week 1 games. Give the team a win to build confidence. Mistakes will be made and corrected before any solid opponents. I guarantee by the end of this season we will be in similar position to 2022. The team looked dominant at times last night.

This. He was brought in to stabilize a program that was starting to free fall. He will win 8 or 8 games a year, and may even get us into the playoffs, but that's his ceiling. He made a bad decision to promote a position coach with no power 5 OC experience to avoid losing him.

The stars have to align to win a championship. Unless you get a Saban/Smart type of coach who can legitimately build a dynasty, there’s some luck involved in getting everything right. BK isn’t one of those coaches, so odds are he isn’t going to win a championship without some miraculous luck.

We start Week 1 against Clemson the next two seasons (at Clemson in Year 1).
