Jeff Goldblum is Zeus in this adaptation of some of the Greek Myths.

Extremely entertaining. Only 3 eps in.

I loved Greek mythology as a kid. Seeing this turned on its ear is incredibly satisfying.

Prodigal Son watchers will recognize Euridice (Riddy) as the cop/love interest.

When I looked up Hera on IMDb, I recognized her as the restaurant critic from The Menu.

Janet McTeer. She's one of the British greats.

Excellent actress and a very classy lady from all accounts.

I'd love to see this cast of characters do The Iliad/Odyssey.

No. It's set in an alternate reality where the Greek Gods and mythical characters exist in modern day.

I'm intrigued. But why hasn't Netflix notified me? This falls in my wheelhouse of movies / shows.

Whenever I see her I say "Hey it's gangster Jane Lynch!"

Because of Ozark, and because she looks like Jane Lynch.

No, not at all.

1. It takes place on modern-day Crete

2. It's not ancient Gods struggling to find their place in a world that has embraced new gods.

3. The setting has the Greek gods fully integrated into their society as a polytheistic culture

4. This season bears all indications of telling the story of Orpheus & Euridice, in addition to establishing the Olympic pantheon.

She's almost completely unrecognizable.

Certainly did not recognize her at first glance, but then I saw through the dirt and make up.

Do like me some Rose Tyler.
