We trust in our based Ragin Cajun Spaghetti to try to salvage this series and road trip. As rough as some of these games have been 3-4 in this stretch isn’t the end of the world
Trying to channel the inner good vibes against tPhillies

Scorching hot take: In a make believe world where we get healthy and Tucker returns early enough to play a few weeks at the end of the season, I would like our chances more than most people for us to win the pennant

The pitching is more than good enough that it is pretty dang possible.
The offense is just so damn stinky. Tuck will for sure lengthen it and gets some swing and miss out of there, but there is still the problem with whoever is 7-9 not putting up QAB's and having bad contact. Of course every team in the AL outside of the O's really have that problem. Just gotta hope the 1-5 can be who they are supposed to be.

Schwarber trying to bunt with 2 strikes and 2 outs in the most important game of the year is so funny to me

I am in a glass half full mood, so let’s think about it
2B Altuve
3B/1B or whatever lol Bregman
LF/DH Yordan
RF/DH/The Grave Tucker
C Yainer
SS JP
DH or 1B Caratini?
1B/LF or RF Gamel? He’s played some 1B
CF Jake
Lots of questions based on health and whether guys can even play the field. Whitcomb has looked decent and could fit in there as well especially vs lefties. Is that a great lineup? No. But it’s a hell of a lot better than what we’ve been trotting out
To make a deep run we need to pitch lights out 2022 style and someone needs to get hot Pena style. I think the first part is possible. The pitching staff is in pretty great shape considering where it’s been at parts of the season. The bridge to Hader is where I really have questions. I think today’s starter could be a huge piece of the puzzle in the pen in October

Big if, but if Gamel and Heyward get hot down the stretch I’m not sure I want Tucker back this year. He’s only running at 60% right now so I’m assuming it’s gonna be a few more weeks. I doubt he’ll be effective if he just shows up a week before the playoffs

Tucker was a borderline MVP candidate before he got hurt. You obviously want him back even if he isn’t 100% or can only DH

Are we really that upset if we pull one out tonight? Who was expecting to take 2/3 at Philly?

I could buy what you're selling if you told me these guys were motivated, but this team's motivation is somewhere close to what we've seen from Tucker's rehab
BTW, I hear his rehab was set back again after a recent haircut

I’m more frustrated we could have taken 3/4 from Baltimore. Big picture 3-4 is fine in these two series

The losses on Friday and Saturday kinda bled into this series from a perspective stand point. Didn’t necessarily make it a must win series, but definitely would have felt better if they found a way to scrap out the series win
3-4 road trip vs a 2-5 road trip on the line. Both neutral to bad outcomes when factoring the blown games, but be nice to get a win going into a tough Royals series. Both teams should be matching up the top of the rotations too over the weekend

It really does hinge on what you get from Tucker IMO. Move two starters into the pen, and I'd put our pitching up against pretty much anybody.
But you can't expect much from 7-9 in the playoffs. Things change when you're only seeing top arms and all of a sudden production dries up from the Gamel and Heyward types. Those are good moves for September, but it seems like the teams that go the distance do it because of their stars. I just don't think we have enough without Tuck.

Has anybody adopted Jason? I'm willing to take on another troubled youth. Brother Ben is thriving but it'd be good for him to have a sibling to guide.

Watched the last two games. First time doing this, I don't have DTV or Fubo or whatever. Can't watch today, maybe that's a good thing. Go Stros!

Yeah, I feel better about those guys at least having a quality AB and moving a runner than the players they replaced, but it comes down to the 1-5 or 6 in our order. When Yainer has been hot this year he has been absolutely nuclear. If he can time that on a 2 week or so stretch in October it would paper over a lot of holes in this lineup

2 of 3 games Espada decides its not necessary to have one of his best hitters in the game against one of the best teams in the game, all the while knowing awful hitting is this team’s trademark.
frick him with a cactus.

My sweet baby Chas has been thrown out with the bath water. I blame the DAT for being so hard on him. If any of you cocksuckers had simply sent him some ice cream, think about how many games up this team could be.
