I’m hoping I’ll get a few serious answers in between the regular OT stuff….

Been a few months of this for me. Not sure what’s up?

Had blood work done, blood sugar a little high (103), but doc said just to watch diet , no meds, etc.

Just throwing it out there… anyone experience this?

Dad died 2 years ago. But nothing since…

Only drank about 8 beers in about 3 weeks. Usually a weekend drinker ( 13 pack, couple margs. Etc)

This.

A glucose if 103 is perfectly fine and normal.

If labs are normal, it sounds as if it is related to your mental health.

How are you sleeping?

You’ve lost 20 lbs in a few months. What is your current weight?

Not great tbh. Always been a night owl though…

Does depression just “hit”?

Never an inkling of that thought before, so a little weird…

Get your nutrition and stuff in check first.

If that persists talk to a doc again.

This is very difficult to do consistently, and I say this as someone with a ton of trouble with my thoughts, depression, anxiety, etc, but sometimes the best thing to do is chill out however you can.

Take things more slowly. Be grateful for what you have. Like take 15-20 mins in the morning and write down everything you love about your life. Be single minded on a task. Put your phone down if it’s a problem. Take a long walk to nowhere. If it’s your job set a plan to change it to something more sustainable.

I believe this is referred to as a mid-life crisis.

Buy or lease an exotic sports car even if it's beyond your means.

ETA: On a serious note, if you're feeling down and you've tried diet and exercise, try seeing a therapist. Might help to talk to someone. I'd do that before seeking medication, unless it's very severe.
