would it be that bad if Lafell leaves

with all the talent that we have at WR and the talent that is coming in do we really need lafell that much

It would be nice to have some leadership at that position, so I hope he stays. Anything lafell tried to do as a leader this year, Byrd just undid it.

Yes, it would. He's our best offensive player, and could have an All-American season next year. That would be a lot of inexperience at the WR position next year. Not good for what will still be a relatively inexperienced QB.

This has come up in the past with LSU players (a lot of folks wanted Kevin Faulk to go pro because we had Collins and Mealey). You don't know how young players react under the lights. Veterans are crucial to winning championships. Of course we want him to stay.
