I know this is a joke, but one of the Pouncy brothers was close enough to hear Rudolph scream anything and there's zero doubt in my mind he would have hit Rudolph even harder for that.

I don't understand why if you're on a playing field, its treated as some legal protective bubble even for non-football related battery.
Guy does this to his teacher in the classroom, he's arrested.
The only time I've seen the law react accordingly was when a boxer knocked out his opponent with a sucker punch after the fight while waiting for the decision walking toward each other to give hugs and the cops arrested him in the ring.
Instead of a helmet....and football has been telling us for years its a weapon, hence all the rule changes....what if he grabbed a baseball bat and started beating the player upside the head? What's the difference here?

I mean if he doesn't go to jail for assault with a deadly weapon....

Another teammate should have gone at him with the water cooler like that

When they go out of their way to use an object as a weapon it should not be within the means of the game.
I don't understand why this guy's name isn't blasted everywhere.

Marty McSorely was convicted of assault with a weapon for hitting a player in the head with a hockey stick during a game. he also received the longest suspension in NHL history for doing that and never played in the NHL again

Was anybody else watching the other helmet on the ground and missed the actual assault

Happy Gilmore once took his skate off during a junior ice hockey game and tried to stab a guy. Don’t think they kicked him out of the league, but pretty sure he still holds that record.

I thought of this dude, Owen Schmitt from WVU, when I saw the thread title.
