The Pels are looking at streaming the games themselves and AD and Joel are staying.

The Jazz and Suns also last season introduced streaming services to their local audiences. The Pelicans are working with the NBA to bring a streaming product to market for next season.

Play-by-play voice Joel Meyers and color commentator Antonio Daniels will continue calling Pelicans games.

Baton Rouge gets fricked in that scenario, assuming Gray continues broadcasting games on the low powered (not WAFB) station.

Also, streamers get frickED fricked.

In market streamers can watch via YouTube tv etc.

Could also watch over HD antenna right?

Not in all areas because the transmissions are weak.

They will offer direct to consumer streaming though

Utah and Phoenix both charge roughly $15 per month to get streams.

In Baton Rouge?

I have YTTV in BR, but could have sworn I was unable to watch the 8 games that were broadcast on WVUE fox 8. I might be mistaken though.

From what I remember, in the BR area it was on some other local OTA channel owned by Gray and everyone got the national feed of that one, not the local one, so no games for people in BR over cable. I also remember people saying you couldn't pick up the channels over antenna in Ascension.

At least they have a streaming option that will probably be cheaper than Bally's and presumably a reskinned League Pass so hopefully more reliable that Bally's.

So I guess we can’t get games in Lafayette?
ETA: I see above we may have to use the $15 streaming option

They better be back. We have the best announcer duo in the league.

Yes, in the article posted above, they did mention Joel and AD will still be doing the telecast.

So as a BR resident my choices are to buy an antenna to get garbage picture quality or likely pay $15 a month for a streaming service that other markets don't need when I already pay for Youtube TV? Awesome.

You would just get League Pass in Colorado. That's exactly what it was designed for.

Also, for the question about Lafayette, is the Lake Charles station too far to get?

If you’re in BR wouldn’t the game just be on Fox? I’m all the way in Telluride, CO so I guess it’s stream or bust for me.

Nope. Last year those games in BR were on some channel no one has ever heard of that's only available on antenna.

You must not be familiar with modern antenna's?

People who used antennas for it last year complained that the picture quality on that channel was horrendous.
