So I picked some up at Harvest after seeing some hype about it online.

First of all 22.99 for four beers wtf?
I normally enjoy Canebrake which is usually 7.99-8.99 depending on where I am at. Especially since Parish discontinued South Coast which was my go to.

Taste wise I find it to be very similar to Ghost in the Machine, like I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you put both in front of me. So I'm glad I only bought one four pack today.

I gotta tell ya. As much as i bitch about Parish and their "we only sell snakes and sparklers" approach to beer. I'm tempted to buy a 4 pack. But at $22...

They have a loyal fanboi following that will buy whatever they make and praise it no matter what it tastes like. It’s bizarre.

This is the first time I've seen them release any of the special release ghost variants through distribution- it's usually brewery only

PSA to those who don't normally buy these- most of the special release ghosts are released super green. They usually need 2-3 weeks from release date until they round out

I think my palate is burned out on these IPAs. I’ll still enjoy a jucifer now and then but what I discovered is…the majority are so over the top they aren’t a pleasure to drink.

back to pilsners and lagers for me. More IPAs for y’all. I had a 5% lager at abita of all places last weekend that had me pounding the table it was so good.

Parleaux would be the brewery for you then.

After regular GITM, the DDH GITM has basically been renamed repeatedly with a new label. They all taste the same. Our run group brings them in weekly and we've sampled every Ghost imaginable (besides Baby Ghost). MC^, MC^2, Prime, you name it. It's a revolving door of new labels with the same beer. I'm guessing that since Parish gets first dibs on hops selection, they probably experiment with different batches to see if anything works out on these re-releases.

They go somewhere out in Washington that produces a ton of hops for breweries throughout the country. Parish pays a premium for first dibs.

I know for a fact their “lager” is rereleased 3 or 4 times a year with different labels.

There are much bigger national breweries that have selection before Parish.
