I’m picking up my chick on the way to my camp in Terrebonne Parish, looking for a nice lunch spot close to MSY. Dont have time to go into the city.

All recommendations much appreciated.

Its Kenner. There really isn't a lot nice near the Airport to speak of.

Harbor Seafood is probably your best bet, followed by Kenner Seafood and Brick Oven Cafe

Yep I get that lol, thanks. There seems to be a shitload of restaurants with mostly identical menus of fried food.

Not too far down the road is Casa Garcia. A great Mexican restaurant.

"Casa Garcia. A great Mexican restaurant."

As a lurker, you've always been one of my favorite posters.
BUT I'm going to have to agree to disagree with this one.

If Mexican, I'd do Don Jose.

Parran's is not far from the airport.

Brick Oven, Harbor Seafood, Stingray's.

Mano's Poboys isn't too far but it is going the opposite way. Good lunch spot. Quarter View is good with an everything-menu, but again, out of the way.

Harbor Seafood is probably your best bet though.

You could always stop at Sphars in Des Allemonds if that's the way you're going.

If you like dim sum, Yummy House is right there on Loyola on the other side of the interstate. Their dim sum was pretty damn good.

Pics of your "chick" and I may be able to provide a more suitable spot.

Used to be Fat Greg's on William's Blvd, just north of I-10, but I think it closed...

Haven't been in in like 5+ years (before the fire), but I thought Harbor Seafood had a lot more than just fried seafood on the menu. And there's a pretty nice seafood shop attached as well.

Cajun Critters in Houma was really good (pre-Ida when I went),

They do. I love the royal red shrimp dish that they have.
