3x3 should be removed

It’s fine, it just needs better athletes..

I still haven’t figured out how breakdancing is a sport though.

I agree but also... Breakdancing, skateboarding, synchronized _________ , but then it'll be replaced by something else. The Olympics has seemingly always tried to have some Fringe / odd element. It used to have painting and architecture as competitive events along with Tug O war ( which I kinda wanna see come back)

same thing happened when I had ping pong on yesterday. It was North Korea v China and screen just said gold medal game. It wasn’t until the event was over they said it was mixed doubles final. I had no idea 2 of them were women, thought both teams were made up of guys.

I’ll definitely check it out because it’s intriguing, but it’s still seems like an odd inclusion.

Team USA women just lost their second game in pool play to... Azerbaijan. US really needs to figure out a better way to get half decent players qualified for 3x3 Olympic basketball.

Skateboarding is actually one of my favorite events now. I'm glad they added it and definitely not on par with break dancing and 3x3 washed up basketball players.

They should play outside on some hot arse asphalt.

I personally think skateboarding is an extremely difficult, and at times, extremely dangerous sport. Unfortunately they the street competition was the worst form skateboarding they could’ve picked for neutral observers to watch. They should’ve gone with vert. Neutral observers can at least get behind that like they do with the snowboarding pipe.

The 3x3 basketball does crack me up because it’s just a lesser version of the real sport that’s already a part of the Olympics. Imagine being on the team and some other athlete from team USA ask what you do and you’re like “oh, I play basketball.” And then they’re impressed until they realize it’s 3x3 and you’re about to get smoked because you couldn’t make the real team.
