People are upset cause they wanted someone middle of the road to offset Trump
But the reality is we are at turning point in our society and country
It’s not about the person it’s about the policies and beliefs
Even democrats I’ve known for a while are voting Trump cause they realize it’s about policies

1) He represents a midwestern state in the Senate, right in the middle of the Rust Belt, which will be key to Trump’s victory.
2) He’s young. With Trump being 78, you need someone youthful on the ticket. Vance is not even 40 yet.
3) If elected, he would be the first combat veteran to serve as Vice President since Al Gore.
4) The biggest part of Trump’s winning coalition in 2016 was dominating the white working class. Biden was able to chip away at this enough in 2020 to win. Vance’s story will resonate with these voters.
5) Insurance for Trump. The first thing Democrats will want to do is impeach Trump if he’s elected. Because Vance is of similar mind to Trump and because he isn’t malleable like Mike Pence, there will be more disincentive to try and remove Trump from office.
6) Vance represents what Trump wants the future of the GOP to be. Protectionist, non-interventionist, populist, nationalist. Not the old days of the Bushes/McCains/Romneys. Trump has an opportunity to extend his legacy and offer continuity of vision with Vance.

Please enlighten me on what exactly he has done, without using talking points of msm, to harm the ticket
