What things are you watching going into camp? For me it’s…

-Trey Holley. Is he going to be a full go and participate? Having him will bolster an already strong RB room.

-Does Kylin Jackson take the next step? Our DBs sucked last year and he barely played. It seems like when he did play he played well? I’m hoping he takes one of the starting spots because he very athletic and seems to have a ton of potential.

Had heard Trey’s court date got pushed back until mid September so Im guessing he won’t be reporting.

Holly's court date has been pushed back to late Sept. That leaves Jackson, Williams and FR Durham. I haven't seen anything on Emery's rehab, but hopefully he can get back and add some reps as well.

No. I wouldn’t expect to have him available at all this season.

Did he? He played in 5 games and recorded one total statistic.

Wide receivers

DB depth… got tricked into thinking we were ok last year with Chestnut & Alexander. Excited to see who is rolling with 1s & 2s this year. Won’t be Toviano

My son went to Zachary with him. He was hard to coach in that he always wanted to go find the ball. A lot of missed assignments because of it. He is a freak athlete and extremely physical. If he can accept coaching and been able to grasp the playbook he will,do,well.

Yeah mine are which CBs step up, and Nussmeier since football success mostly relates to the success of the QB.

1.We need good reports from the DBs.

Kelly keeps practices wide open to the media and last year all the br media talked about was how cooked the DBs were getting in 1v1 drills but nobody paid it any mind because “it’s just practice and our WRs are studs”. If we get the same reports this year we’re in trouble again.

2. Can McKinley help us out any on the D line and can Savion or somebody else help us on the edge?

It’s a tough ask for a true freshman DT but he was a 5 star. Would be huge if he could give us some good run with how shallow we are this year. And it seems like Savion has been “ready to breakout” since he got on campus and we still haven’t seen it yet.

3. Can Kaleb Jackson take over this back field?

Look I love Josh Williams and he’s a great story and he runs hard and has been great for us, but I’m ready for another home run hitter and I think Jackson can be that guy. You saw glimpses of it in the bowl game. I think Durham probably red shirts this year and I’m done expecting anything from Emery.

Woodland is number one for me. It's great if he can take a spot at outside corner. It also shows just how bad the situation is.

Aaron Anderson- I've been on high on him as anyone. Has to get it going this yr. Imo denbrock didn't do him any favors with how he got him the ball. Anderson didn't do much with his opportunities tho.

Safety- can someone besides sage and major step up and take a job.

Lb-can someone take the job from penn

This is the only thing that will hold him back. My guess is he gets snaps this yr and takes over next yr. He is the type of guy that is going to need to play to learn imo.

He's going to trial for a felony charge of illegal use of a weapon. The trial won't even start until, at the earliest, the middle of the season. He's not going to be at camp unless he pleads guilty to something lesser to get it all over with.

I’m hoping to hear some good developments on the defense. I have no doubt the potential of the offense is high. The big question for me is who will step up with Kyren in the receiving corp. This OL should really help with the execution of the offense.

If Holly is able to play and Jackson grows into what we hope he can be, Durham might be able to redshirt. It just depends on how the season goes. But in this era, what’s the point? Let him play.
