Why must we always start the sentence with race or gender when describing this woman's career? Is this supposed to make her qualified?
And since when did a person of East Indian heritage become "asian". I live in a country with 100s of thousands of East Indians, and I have never ever heard the term asian used to describe themselves.

This is POTUS 2024
One thing we are assured of is the winner will not be competent.

In Europe they call Indians/Pakis "Asian." That is technically correct because India is in South Asia.
We don't call them Asians here, probably because we have had East Asians here longer (Chinese, etc) and reserve the term Asian for them. But if you want to be technically correct, then Indians are south Asians just as Japanese are east Asians and just as Vietnamese are southeast Asians, etc.

And in Europe they call East Asians “orientals”, which is a no-no word here.
It sounds like they’re trying to use the European terminology without accounting for US pc culture not having a separate pc-acceptable word to use for East Asians.
I just call them dot Indians (to differentiate them from feather Indians). Avoids confusion.

It’s the Democrats that make everything about race.

That is very very racist.
The accepted term in 2024 is “hotel Indian”.

DEI hires don't generally work out well.

As opposed to casino Indians?
I’ll try to change my terminology, but I’m old and don’t give a shite anymore. I don’t drop the n-bomb and I figure that’s good enough.

That is correct. Indian and casino are the preferred descriptors.

Is Indian and Jamaican “black”. She comes from slave owners.

She’s a woman of color, she’s not black.

Competency doesn't have any place in today's world. It's all about FEELINGS Wo-o-o Wo-o-oWHOA FEELINGS

No, but it is not hard to look back a hundred years and see her father's family owned many.

Willie Brown said she definitely had some black in her.
