Is this the one with Russell Crowe? Saw it on the top and was immediately intrigued… because of Russell Crowe.

Yeah it was good. Russel Crowe and Thor's brother(hemsworth) are in it.

Russell Crowe?

Russell Crowe as an Air Force captain is a stretch and it certainly had its flaws but I enjoyed it.

Watched it last night. I really enjoyed it. Pretty intense at times. Liked how it did not have alot of extra. Just the mission

Watched it last night. Fine for what it is.

UH-1 and UH-60 are interchangeable, in shots seconds apart. Apparently you can fire your weapon repeatedly but the chamber dust cover doesn’t open. USAF always drops bombs with afterburners on. ??

Just finished it. Really good movie. Had low expectations, but enjoyed the heck out of it.

I enjoyed this movie. Had a Rambo like theme with lots of action.

Man I don’t wanna overhype it as I’m sure some of my excitement was from the surprise of the low expectations, but this movie kicked fvcking arse. The suspense was so tense at moments. The shots and filming was 10/10, and the whole movie is so good at showing you how these incredible harrowing conflicts are happening while most people at home and even on the base are walking around like it’s a normal Thursday or watching college basketball. Really really well done.

I thought it was a solid popcorn flick.

Didn't have great expectations but was pleasantly surprised. Made for an easy Friday night watch with the wife.

The second half of it gave me some Rambo vibes as well.

Fat Russell Crowe looks like he would fit in in S LA.

Watched this Friday night. Solid action movie.

Pretty major plot holes though with every member of the AF base being a raging Tennessee fan and the Vols playing games in the Bahamas and Knoxville in less than 24 hours

I thought this was funny as well. It was supposed to be March Madness but the game showing at the end of the movie was TN/Auburn in the SEC tournament. I know most wouldn't catch that but I'm glad I wasn't the only one

Also Auburn won that game and it shows on the tv screen when they ask him who won and he says vols

I find it hard to believe the entire base would be watching basketball with something of that nature going on and is that the only phone at the base that no one answers in the age of cellphones and technology

How else could they create the scenes to demonstrate RC’s driving skills to get back to the base.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie. Great visual effects, and interesting insight into the world of drone technology.

Same. Felt really weird to me that the whole operation was in the hands of those 2 drone operators.

But again, it was a good popcorn/action flick. Not looking for an award winning film here.

meh...I don't find it weird. Most of that is mundane and boring and nothing ever happens, which is why I think they made it a point to show that.

Watched it last night with my teenage son, we both enjoyed it!

Also didn't mind the basketball discrepancies. I mean they said it was March Madness and at least actually showed TN. It made it that much more enjoyable when RC takes out his golf iron.

Gene hackman's sidekick in behind emeny lines was a vols fan. Since they basically remade that movie i wonder if the vols thing was an easter egg

I really liked it, but it was way too off the wall to call it a "war movie." Great action movie. But, the situations and moments throughout were not in the world of even very far fetched reality of military ops.

Like Jumbo said above, the funniest part to me was the basketball insert. Crowe was mad because the Buckeyes lost the first round as he said. Then, on the same day, the UTk fans were supposed to be watching a sweet 16 game (although it clearly shows AU vs UTk in the SEC Championship game on the screen). And, the game lasted almost 18 hours in the movie timeline.

Very good action movie though. Very much worth the watch.
