“Presumed Innocent” is a wild Effin Ride

I’m not sure I’ve seen a show that is better at twisting viewers back and forth on the “who done it.”
Anyone watching this show have an opinion on who it’s going to be?
For me it goes from obviously Rusty, to well there is someone who could have done it too, to now it’s too obviously Rusty to be the case.

I think rusty is so much of an a-hole that I don’t care if he did it or not lol

I never scream at the TV. But I do on this one. I’ve bought in completely.
Fantastic show!
Fantastic show!

100% agree. Walks up to 2 doors right decision, or middle ground. Turns right back around to choose door number 3 - worst situational decision possible.

His reaction to his wife saying she kissed a dude was the final straw.

It is,… but when they state that a person at work was harassing her and the prosecutor was the harasser, Rusty gets a momentary reprieve.
He’s got to work to maintain it though. And he ain’t. I’m twisting on a rope. lol.

I think it was rusty but I think it’ll be a mistrial. It’s to in your face for it to be an open and closed case

That was very obvious to me after watching the Harrison Ford movie:

I think the daughter did it.

I would say Rusty but at this point he seems way too obvious of a choice. I would hope there is some sort of twist. But I also would 100% be fine with him going to jail because he's an a-hole and I don't care about him.
But also no show has ever done a worse job at being completely unbelievable that a trial like this would actually even take place and have ZERO police investigation.
I'm enjoying it, I am. But, the lack of evidence and lack of any police investigation is kind of laughable. I guess watching too much Dateline and true crime documentaries has spoiled me on this because in no way shape or form would this have ever went to trial with this little evidence. Much less going to trial that soon. Even much less with a brand new DA. The story is compelling but the lack of evidence is infuriating. The case would have honestly been dismissed.
There is absolutely no ay he could ever be convicted based on what is laid out there right now. But it also extremely baffling that both parties are going out of their way to try and not do any extra research.
Prosecution: We will absolutely under no circumstances look into any other person except Rusty!
Defense: We will absolutely under no circumstances try and prove that any one else did this!
All that being said, it's not bad
Apple+ has been pumping out some really good shows at a very consistent rate lately. They have definitely become one of the best streaming services out there now.

I think Molto. He's an arse. Also, he has honed in on Rusty from the start. Best way to keep people from looking at himself.
It could still be anyone at this point.

i agree with Molto... either him, rusty, or rustys wife IMO

So are we thinking that Rusty broke into Molto's home and ransacked the place and put the fire poker and note there? Who else would have done that? And why would Rusty have done it? Just him being a hot headed? I know he has anger issues, and Molto just tore him a new one on the stand, but is he really that dumb? He is pretty dumb, so its possible.
We are locked into this show. I could watch Gyllenhaal, Skarsgaard, and Camp on screen all day. All 3 are elite actors. And that is despite the multiple not-so-great performances on the show, with Fagbenle(Nico) delivering one of the most annoying things I have ever seen on screen.

You guys have me wanting to watch this. I have however watched the movie probably 10 times. How will that impact watching this?

I mean he can't be that dumb. And they can't be that dumb to actually write that into the show. I mean Rusty should be on lock down and people would be watching his every move. Plus you would hope if he was the killer, he wouldn't be dumb enough to hold onto the murder weapon.

Makes me think it's one of/if not both of the kids in on it together. Just because I can see some kids being dumb enough to hold onto the murder weapon.

Did he though? Literally the only thing he's done good the entire trial is make the jury think he could snap. One of the instances being a guy that was being threatening in front of his kids and the other being a shove. It was a very very well acted scene but doesn't really prove anything.

It's hard not to root against him I know that

Rusty's wife has done a really good job as well.

The whole show would be pointless if it’s Rusty. Has to be someone else.

I reluctantly typed that, because I agree with you. But it seemed like the show makers were trying to convey that.

The bartender fling storyline/scenes were pretty cringe, but besides that she's been good.

There's always the possibility the real twist is that the show doesn't end the way the movie did.
Posted on 7/17/24 at 3:03 pm to Pandy Fackler
I don’t think the ending will be the same as the movie. That seems pointless as well.
