Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. Why announce it even if so?
Personally I doubt they change anything. It's a lot of moving pieces and personnel to coordinate as it is and everyone involved has already been briefed and rehearsed the current plan. Changing it now would probably make the event and Trump even less secure.

We were at a birthday party last night and some parents of some well-known political figures happened to be there as well. We started discussing the shooting and they said they were terrified for their kids. They have no protection. The parents were hoping the convention came off without incident.

All they have to say is, “In the light of Saturday’s attempt on former President Trump’s life, we are reviewing our security procedures and protocols to ensure every measure is taken to protect him and all attendees.”
Then make any necessary changes.
