There are a few posters reporting in from there that are in the OT hurricane thread. It doesn’t seem like it was all that bad at all based on their reports and a few other things I read.

No it is fine. Leaving today from Cancun and all is well. Isla lost power but I believe it is back up.

Buddy is in Cancun now, no issues. He is flying back to IAH on Monday so he gets to ride out the same hurricane twice, lol.

I'm flying to SAL today through IAH.
Our plane has been waiting to take off at IAH for an hour now. With Beryl not far away and so many departures from here heading south, they're spacing out planes because so many planes are in the same flight path, detouring around the storm.
Captain just said that we are going to have to wait a bit more, as he's been given a new flight path.

Big band of thunderstorms that you've got to detour around. Hope you take off soon, looks like that band is hitting Hobby currently

Just took off. Plane is going due north for now, before we turn east and then south to SAL.
We'll land two hours late, in a plane the left it's gate on time. I'm glad just to be making it there, especially after my flight leaving BTR was delayed over an hour, and I had to run in IAH to make my connection.
