Doug's has been closed due to Doug's death and drought, but I got this from them yesterday.

quote:

Unfortunately, Doug’s will not be hunting this season; however, Seth with Ironwolf Outfitters has leased the camp and will be running teal hunts! We are excited to see some camp activity and hope to see some familiar faces! Give Seth a call at 601-916-0341 and tell him you are excited to be back at Doug’s - you won’t be disappointed!

Says Lake Village Ar?
$850/day regular season and $550/day teal seams pricy imo. Baw is going to need a bunch of bookings down here to make the numbers work.

He’s an old soul, born a hundred years too late. Rick reminds me of Flip Pallot who was a former banker in his youth.

Same here. I used a service out of Thornwell last year and drove a few miles to Hayes to have my birds cleaned.

Had very spotty success last year there, whole lot of squealers killed to save hunts.

Last year they had pump water from the intercoastal pretty much to fill the ditches to run boats, they had to pirogue customers to the blinds for a good part of the season.

For the last couple years been a lot of squealers and jacks killed to save hunts. But hell, that’s Louisiana as a whole these days.

Yea that's what I'm thinking is going on here; coming down to get in on the teal season bonanza that's been pretty dang consistent.

As far as I know, they do NOT have access to the marsh that Doug's used to hunt, as it's a very complicated matter.....but nonetheless still for sale, I think, for you OB ballers.

I have had some amazing hunts in Lulus. Did those idiots ever sell the back half after they ruined it?

Hunted with him last year at Cherry Ridge. Talk about a surprising blind discussion in the morning. NOT the type of guide i'm used to hunting with. Amazing and super interesting guy.

Cherry ridge and the marsh at Doug’s is some of the better looking fresh water marsh around.

Always did great for teal season.
