I saw a lying, despicable ad attacking Sen. Fields as having made a deal with Jeff Landry in exchange for a congressional seat. That ad is FULL of lies and is funded by racist Republicans who have never liked Cleo and think they can bring him down.
Don't believe any of it. Cleo might not be perfect but he's not a corrupt.

Cleo was Edwin Edwards' bagman to deliver bribes to certain politicians and gambling board officials when Edwards was corruptly selling gaming licenses. It was all caught on tape. Cleo wasn't charged but was an unindicted co-conspirator thanks to Clinton's scumbag U.S. Attorney (Cleo's bud) and future Orleans Parish D.A. Eddie Jordan.
Cleo refused to discuss it saying that since he wasn’t in office, he didn’t owe the public any explanation. Now he’s running for office so it’s time for him to explain what the hell he was doing with that $25,000 that he stuffed in his pants and suit that was to be used for bribes.
