Damn I'll be glad to land in Calgary next Thursday where it's going to be right at 70 and upper 40's at night.

Can't wait. That's gonna feel so refreshing.

I think that's 28.3 Celsius.

Summers tend to be hot. My favorite is to see the records and they’re typically form early 1900…

How did Atlanta not hit 100 last summer?

Definitely.

It only gets that hot here about twice a decade. Usually upper 80's/low 90's.

Good news is the humidity is coming back tomorrow and that means rain, we need it. It's been dry

Single day records absolutely do tell the whole story.

Two out of the last 3 summers have been pretty much on average. Two summers ago was actually mild.

We were due for a hotter than average summer. Like I said earlier about twice a decade it gets this hot. And it's been 5 years since it's been this hot consistently. 2019 we hit the 90's into October. Atlanta/North Georgia doesn't hit 100 a lot.

Now Middle , East and South Georgia? That's a whole other animal. Eatonton hit 102 today.

It wasn't hot everywhere last Summer, and you didn't really have to go all that far in the grand scheme of things to find below normal temps. In north AL we were below normal (for highs and lows) every Summer month but for September, and it was barely over for the high.

This also tied a daily record of 100° set back on June 26, 1914.

It's been hot here (S LA), but seemingly more normal than last year, mostly due to a more normal rain pattern returning.

The humidity is always welcome in that it keeps the temperature down.

In Texas we're finally into the heat wave part of the summer. We enjoyed fall a lot longer this year than normal and I'm grateful for that. But I'm also not as big of a hot weather hater as some are. I try to enjoy all weather. In the winter, I'm ready for these days, and at the end of summer, I'm ready for fall weather. Never really ready for winter. Shot days and too damn cold to do anything outside.

Except for the College Football Hall of Fame, that city is an absolute shite hole. A 100 degree day must beyond disgusting. Like a giant smoldering turd.

I had lunch outside in Inman Park yesterday. It was quite nice.

Maybe just avoid downtown.
