Josh Pate just ran a piece with Alabama surging to #2 in recruiting, they have 18 commits we have 12

There has to be a drop off from saban, there is literally no way they can keep that dynasty rolling like they had it...right?

its called quality over quantity. their class is up there due to the amount of kids they have not the quality that LSU has

I think if there is any position we should not be making fun of, it’s DT.

It’s still early, and DeBoer still has a lot to prove in the field in his new job. Let the gumps convince themselves that things will just move forward like the last 15 years. It will only make it more entertaining when they don’t.

Scona is a tool

Dude was roasting them over the QB commit they got saying he was a 3 star (he's a high 4 star on all platforms)

He does no research and talks out of his arse 99% of the time and makes us look like a weird fanbase

It still remains to be seen how well they do on the field, but right now they appear to the leader for a 5* offensive tackle, a couple of 5* receivers, as well as 4* players at corner and linebacker. One of the top defensive tackles who decommitted from USC just visited Bama and apparently had a good visit. At this point, their recruiting hasn't fallen off a bit. Let's hope ours is strong down the stretch.

He’s been such an embarrassment lately. He was melting on twitter about their QB recruit winning an elite 11 event.

Moscona will mock Alabama’s recruiting then rant about how how Raymond is a God while he loses the top DB recruit in the state.

Bama currently has 7 three stars committed. You have to go all the way back to 2012 to find the last time they had that many three stars on board.

I like Moscona’s show but he’s definitely an arse and can never admit to being wrong

Moscona will be the next version of Buddy Songy……and all his “advertisers”. Who knows, maybe he takes on MANDA

This thread will be whacked, but Moscona is a douche. He acts like he doesn't care, but his actions say otherwise.

Seems like DeBoer is focusing his efforts in California. Looks like so far Auburn is getting the cream of the crop in-state?

If Bama loses 3 games or more, which is a very big possibility that class will fall apart

On3 and 247 have different ways to rank recruiting classes. At this point, On3 is just looking at the top 12 recruits from each class. 247 assigns points and totals the points from all the commits for each school, so the teams with the most recruits are ranked higher. They have Rutgers at #12, for instance.

It seems like the best way to rate the classes right now is to just look at the average ranking for the recruits, since it doesn't give an unfair advantage to a school that has 25 recruits, as opposed to the school that has 12. Just look at the average ranking, and you get a more accurate picture of which schools are getting commitments from the best players right now.

The On3 top five, with average rank of each school's recruits is:
Ohio State 94.758
Georgia 92.873
LSU 92.654
Alabama 92.552
Clemson 91.939

247 has it:
Ohio State 94.18
LSU 93.71
Georgia 93.54
Alabama 93.01
Clemson 93.01

Awfully close in both services. Who lands the big fish from here on?

They still have Saban momentum. LSU had Saban momentum too. Will take a while for his greatness to wear off a bit.

I don't think they'll ever suck at recruiting again with NIL because they are so committed to winning and buying recruits, but it won't ever be 5+ years of #1 classes like Saban had.

And a huge % of the best recruits at every school will end up transferring anyway.

College football is dead.

that's what I am thinking also

he was celebrating Saban retirement as we all should...

but frick, I don't want to see Alabama with #2 recruting classes

the HC hired a bunch of people we've never heard of before....so it's going to be interesting how he does

the brand is still the brand, it sells...

Agreed! Les Miles benefited for 3 seasons easily then did a great job keeping it level....we just couldn't beat Saban often enough

Alabama is the main program that prevented us from winning big in the SEC....

now everything has changed with NIL

hoping Kelly has enough in the tank to get at least 1 title
