Just timed my ACs run time

Ran for 12 minutes. Off for 5. How bad is that?

It’s kind of like the MPH with gas. The faster or colder you go the less energy you use. Set that bitch to 64 and the energy company will probably have to pay you like they do for solar panels.

Ideally on the hottest day, it would run constantly to remove humidity. Too big of a unit and it will short cycle and humidity will get too high. Too small of a unit and it will run constantly but not keep temps and humidity comfortable.

First off, go buy a decent indoor thermometer and use it to see if your thermostat is actually accurate.
