Passed by the box this morning looks like there is some pretty big renovations going on. Saw a few excavators and bulldozers…

They are removing all chairbacks and replacing them with bleachers

Don’t care about renovations until the bleacher seats are replaced with chairback

That is not going to happen. According to LSU, the fans WANTED bleachers. I don't remember that survey.

Are they still planning on only moving the home bullpen and fencing the other one in?

Pretty skeptical of that decision if true, especially when the only other part of the "renovation" is adding a handful of premium seats down the RF line.

Yes. That’s what they’re doing.

It will look as good as the batter’s eye in CF.

They're moving the bullpens around.

Dang. For once I would like LSU to renovate or upgrade a facility and not go the cheap route.

These renovations aren’t enough. It’s not really adding much to the overall experience other than the couple hundred field level seats and the bullpens being moved.

The New Box was built at a bad time coming off the recession. Built cheap and tried to keep too much of the old Box charm.

We are spending 3 million. Texas A&M just approved 80 million in upgrades.

We don’t need a new stadium, but we seriously need to start considering upgrading the fan experience.

Get rid of the fricking bleachers for chair backs
Add covering all the way down the lines
Build party decks in the outfield with lounge areas. Connect them with the concourse behind the first and third baselines. Make it to where you can walk all the way around the park if you want.
You couldn’t pay me to sit in the outfield at the box.
For the love of god, get better concessions

As long as the field is perfect it doesn't matter.

The field does drain much better than it once did. The artificial turf along the lines helps too.

To be fair, u fit more people in with bleachers instead of chairman's. But chairbacks are nicer
