So is it okay to swim now in the Destin / Navarre beach area ? Or is it still double red flag?

Sharks have largely been protected from fishing for the last few decades so their numbers are rising. So yeah there are sharks still close to the beach and will be until we start fishing (or probably overfishing) them again.

You have no time for the beach. Get back in there and work up a bunch of useless draft analysis on this upcoming crop of players.

Why would we fish sharks?

Not shitting on the practice. Just asking what’s in it for us other than controlling a population?

One could argue, we have overfished areas which bring more sharks into these areas.

Sharks gon shark….

That guy who posted here a week ago must’ve been successful in getting Brett Robinson to get rid of all the sharks.

Some cultures eat them. I personally wouldn’t due to the mercury content.

Yes.

It is where we keep the sharks, almost exclusively.

Sharks are always close to the beaches in Destin. Always. Get up early one morning and look out in the water and you will see them. They have always been there and they will always be there.

Sharks are always present along beaches. It's called being the top of the aquatic food chain and following the food source.
