People who vote against their values (personal story)

Long story, so bear with me.
I live in an extremely red area. I’m married to an Asian woman and we attended an event for one of her friends. The friend is marrying a local guy (who happens to be white), so the attendance is about split with Asians and whites. Not that this matters, but just for the context.
There’s always another American husband who likes to come and speak with me at the events. He served many years in the military and is very into politics. Big Trump guy. He knows I am too, so we agree on basically everything.
Politics is always something he wants to talk about, although taboo, I figure what the hell if it’s just us talking at the table, so I engage in conversation with him. As we were talking, the father of the friend getting married walked by and told us to stop talking about politics. He wasn’t involved in the conversation but overheard us talking as he passed. The American guy then tells me that many of the Asian immigrants present vote democrat, including his own wife.
It’s kind of hard to wrap my head around. These people who are wealthy, professional (all have advanced degrees), and extremely Catholic (some of their family are priests and other clergy) and they are voting for a party that wants to limit their freedoms (which they came here to access), take more of their hard earned money, and kill babies up until the moment of birth.
It doesn’t make much sense, but does anything, I guess?

Well, did you stop? Or tell the eavesdropper to stop listening?

So many people pick a side, and stick with it. The issues mean nothing really which is why it is so hard to change minds. No idea why people are this way but most are.

Look at all the Jewish Americans who vote for the liberal thugs who advocate for the destruction of Israel and wear Hana’s headbands. It’s insanity!

I didn’t dv you btw. Good for you. I have a bad left ear so I talk loud. Continuously told to shhhh by my wife. I really don’t care who hears what and that’s the way it should be. Too many times we go silent because we don’t want to rock the boat. Im over that.

The Left is hypnotized & programmed by their nightly TV CNN-MSNBC "news" anchors-handlers (or the "handlers" could be college profs.) It's as if these pods are under a spell.
The father of the friend is an obvious conditioned bot (D); he merely snapped into "OUTRAGE!" Mode when he heard one of the "magic words" in your convo that set him off.
So, no it does not make sense IF he were normal. (He's not. He's under a programming spell of sorts.)

Nope. Doesn't make sense. I just shake my head and remind myself: Don't worry about it. It's not important, in the big scheme of things.
Don't get too involved in "talking politics" with people in public places. Things are dicey today. Things are changing here in the USA - rapidly. If the wrong person hears you saying something that they don't like, your life could get more difficult. It's not worth the risk.
What is happening to the USA and what is going to happen to the USA is, IMHO, an inevitable culmination of the progress of US History. No power on Earth can stop it, but, we must keep the faith by voting the right way and helping our community.
Humankind will continue to create Heaven on Earth, and, right now, that is what the International Left is doing. They are running the show. Their version of "Heaven" is going to be HELL for most of us, so, get ready.

The funny thing is they sit and speak another language the whole time and we have no clue what they’re talking about.
So we find common ground and then they tell us we can’t talk about what we want?

Vietnamese? Have a wrongly assumed a lot of them were starting to come around to be Republicans? I kind of thought they were logically the next in line from the Cubans to do so.

Any person who votes for a man that took showers with his daughter when she was between the ages of 12 and 15 over a guy that mean tweets cannot be reasoned with.

Maybe the vote for the person that they believe has broken the lesser amount of the Ten Commandments..

Hope that stone did not break your glass house.

Interesting. What “flavor” of Asian. I ask because I’m very good friends with a lot of Vietnamese 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families and they are very conservative and have been ready to take up arms since 2020. Like I have to settle them down worked up about the shite going on.

My house is fine. I have to wonder about you though if you think a guy talking locker room talk with another guy and having consensual sex with an adult woman is equal to pedophilia.

OK, I gotta ask you about something I read this morning in my new book on Wokeness. It says US govt agencies classify people for discrimination lawsuits as Asian, Hispanic, etc. However, studies show that they don't like being called Hispanic (I'm Cuban, I'm Mexican, etc) or Asian (I'm Chinese, I'm Vietnamese, I'm Korean, etc).
So, does your wife dislike being called 'Asian'?

That’s a bunch of shite that white people make up on behalf of minorities.

Asians like every other group is convinced by the media the Government stands between them and being lynched by red necks.
When 99% of “Aisian Hate” is committed by black people.
