On3 has Cenac ranked No. 6. He is ranked No. 49 by 247 Sports, No. 36 by ESPN, and No. 38 by Rivals. Criteria can be different across the industry when it comes to players and the order they are ranked. So let’s break down why On3 is higher on Chris Cenac than the industry.

article says the kid averaged 13 ppg last year. seems like a 6'10 5 star should average more than that. I know nothing about basketball recruiting so I will defer to the experts but this seems on the surface like a guy with tons of potential but still very raw.

With that said, CMM has to get this kid if for nothing else than optics. If he misses and doesn't replace him with a similar caliber player then he better win some games or that seat will heat up quickly.

Newman has a ton of scorers. That's why his stats are modest.

Big men espcially get rated on what the evaluators think they can become. Not necessarily what they are right now. 6-10 with length and the ability to move fluidly doesn't grown on trees. But he is FAR from a finished product. If you want an LSU comp he is Jalen Reed with a little more "suddeness", but not as developed a wing/perimeter game.

95% of LSU fans have no idea who this kid is.

He could be really good, but McMahon's seat warmth is not dependent on one recruit.

Its sad how poor the state of the program is currently. The fact that people don't know that we have the first big time recruit in the state since Javonte Smart shows how apathetic fans have become about our program.

In an ideal world, the best Louisiana players in every sport go to LSU and represent the state.
Need just like that Purple Knight DE ...

I saw Cenac last season when Newman played at Madison Prep. MPA won the game but Cenac was the best player on the floor.

I think that's the only game they lost to an in-state opponent with him available. He didn't play in a couple of losses at the STM Sunkist Shootout.

This. Any insight from anyone on his likely destination?

Feel like a lot of posters have Newman connections.

What kind of player is Randy Livingston, Jr?
And what’s the status of Coach Livingston and the Newman program with the LHSAA investigation? Could Cenac go the Montverde professional high school basketball route?
