Alabama, Vandy, South Carolina, and Arkansas (as a host) are all eliminated before their regional final.

Texas gave 3-seed A&M all they could handle in College Station last night, too. Baseball seems like a sport where the best team can’t always out muscle weaker teams for wins usually seen in football.

Not an excuse for these teams, just an outsider’s observation.

Vandy didn’t host. Baseball is nothing like football or basketball when it comes to playing smaller schools.

You have a home plate umpire who controls every second of every game. Its just not football.

The parity is gone. I wasn’t kidding last week when I said everyone this time of year concerns me.

I think that means that parity is here.

Either way, I agree. You can’t overlook anyone.

Makes me wonder about all the SEC hype of those "Powerful Teams" that were beating and sometimes "run ruling" LSU earlier in the season.
I suppose the facts have finally come out.
We better beat Carolina.

Of the final 4 teams from last year's CWS.

LSU 2-1 playing to force an if necessary game vs UNC
UF 1-1; up 7-4 vs Nebraska in a rain delay
Wake Forest 0-2
TCU didn't make the tournament

You are missing the point. Those are indeed some of the most powerful teams in college baseball. It is just that the disparity in talent as it relates to winning games is smaller than that of any other sport by a wide margin.

You want 20+ wins a season, DVH is your man.
His.goal next year should be winning the SECT.
Then retiring to HOF full honors, everything celebrated,
He gets a statue & hands the reins to Tony Vitello.

I wouldn't count on Tony V as an Arkansas fan. He's built a strong program already in the SEC.
