Pixies, Modest Mouse, and Cat Power tonight.

N. Charleston Firefly Distillery. Should be an awesome small venue concert. Hours are 5:30-10:30, which seems odd but Black Francis is 59.

I still can't figure out why they fired Paz after a decade of greatness in the band. In Europe they played all of Bossonova & Trompe Le Monde in their entirety. I hope they do it here as I am planning on going to the Irving show.

This concert was fantastic. The show was exactly 5:30-9:30 as advertised, which i still find odd. CatPower got a bit fat but her voice is still beautiful. Lana Del Rey before Lana Del Re. I caught Modest Mouse at a festival two years ago and was not very impressed. They were fire last night. Do the Cockroach being the highlight. Pixies opened with Gauge Away and then kept rocking. Tons of songs, no breaks. That venue is really sweet too. Backs up onto a creek w/ egrets and herons flying overhead. Go to this show.

I love Modest Mouse and have seen them countless times. Half the time they were amazing. The other half were pretty bad. That’s just rock n roll I guess

Sounds like a great show. I've seem MM probably 7 or 8 times. Only had 1 so-so experience at the HOB in NOLA in May 2007 I think. The sound was awful and Isaac was frustrated the whole time about it.
