Beach Trips

I'm all for a good trip to the coast but for the life of me I don't understand how people can spend 8-10 hours a day baking on the beach. A couple of hours of sun, sand and salt and I'm done. I have to mix in renting some jet skis, a round of golf or anything other than being bored AF in the heat.
What says you OT?

I go down early and hide inside during the hottest part of the day, then go back down until it starts getting dark.

Most people I’m sure mix it up as you are suggesting.
At a minimum we head to the pool for a break and/or go to condo and chill mid day.
I also usually only go in May or early June. October is great beach weather as well.

I don't get it, but IDGAF what others choose to do as long as it ain't hurting anyone else.

As a new dad with a stressful job on top, what I wouldn’t give to be bored on a beach right now
Hell, I’d love to experience boredom anywhere

I prefer spring or fall when it’s not hot as frick

Same. I can't just sit on the beach all day and roast. My wife can though.

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

Only place I can sit and do nothing. Go once a year in October when it's not as hot. Sit on the beach 5 days straight from 9am-6pm with a drink in my hand. All other vacations we do are non stop action every day.

I am surrounded by golf courses and lakes to jet ski on.
What I do not have close by is a beach.
Why would I travel hundreds of miles to do something I can do easier and cheaper just down the road?

I have been working 7 days a week 12 hours a day since Dec. 27th. I would do some really bad shite to be sitting on a beach right now OP.
Instead I’m sitting in a chemical plant.

It’s an escape for most people. It’s a peaceful environment where all of your life stressors disappear. That’s what makes people love the beach.

You racking up the $$ working all that overtime. Take a great beach trip when you are done.

Agree OP
Typical beach day schedule:
Up at 6-6:30 to eat breakfast, drink coffee
Workout 7-8:30
Shower head to beach with family around 9-9:30
Beach 9:30-12
Head back to room for lunch and break from heat 12:30-2:30
Pool/Jet Ski's or some other activity for rest of day after
Repeat for rest of week

I stopped doing those types of vacations.. the need to “pack in as much as you can “ and to “get all your money’s worth” is insane, and causes you to need a vacation from your vacation… Give me laying on a beach doing jackshit for as many days as i can do it .

Umbrella and drinking beer. Go throw the frisbee with the kids. Go look for shells. It's a good time.

Lake isn’t the same as a beach

My fiancée will spend 8 hours on the beach. It drives me insane. I’d rather go for 2-3 hours and then hit up the boardwalk or strip and go drinking. Instead, we bake in the sun all day, get drained and she’s in bed by 8:30. My night out is shot to hell
