Bought a rental and rehabbed it. We've been battling drain flies for a month+ now. Raid down the drains has worked really well, but there's still a few lingerers. Anything we can do that will 100% take care of them?

Amazon has a hanging thing that knocked them out for us. Search for “fruit fly bar pro strips”

Clean, clean, clean

Bleach every drain heavily

I am assuming you don't have any plants or food in the house, you might have to find places that hold moisture like a dishwasher, refrigerator etc.

Buy one of those fine mesh strainers that go in the sink drain. It will keep any offending bugs from flying out and catch any small food particles that would normally go down the drain.

I empty mine at least once a day, sometimes twice and you'd be surprised how much food it catches to keep from going down the drain.

Ive tried bleach, baking soda, vinegar, citronella. I still find 1 or 2 a week.

Bleach with a solo cup upside down over it right after.

Fine mesh strainer. Simple circular 4" mesh cup that fits/drops into sink drain. Use mine to keep food remnants from going down drain when I hand wash plates/pots.
