Truly amazing
Went from not being able to hit at all to being a real contributor and the pitchers seem more comfortable when he’s back there

Very proud of his career at LSU. Wish him all the luck with his future endeavors. He will also be a legend in Louisiana.

AM has not hit at a 300+ average, has not been a power hitter by any stretch of the imagination BUT has been a local kid that came to LSU with grit and determination and is a Tiger great without all the inflated "baseball" numbers. Just look back to his run to home plate last year during the CWS where he jumped over the tag at home and blew out his ankle. A TRUE TIGER!

After his first year, I must admit that I thought that he was not an SEC quality player. I was wrong. He has worked very hard to become a steady contributor to LSU’s team, both this season and last. He has had some clutch hits and defensive plays for us.

Great thread. The kid deserves respect for becoming a key contributor.

Doesn't need an appreciation thread. One of the most highly praised players ever with very little contribution over his entire career.
