I had a couple of pounds of ground beef I had to use today so it felt like a hamburger steak night.
After seasoning and adding a half sleeve of crushed saltine crackers and a couple of eggs I let the meat rest then shaped into pie shaped patties. Slice up a couple of onions 1/32" thin and after browning the patties the onions went in to cooked down a bit. Made the gravy and let it simmer about an hour or so.
The onions cooked down to almost nothing and made an amazing gravy. Served with what else but mashed potatoes and fire roasted Primavera Mistura(frozen vegetables from Costco..... Primavera

Grilled chicken thighs and grilled veggies, salad and cantaloupe.
Every time I put cantaloupe on my dinner plate, I think about the thread by someone who thinks having cantaloupe with dinner is a weird south Louisiana thing. And then I enjoy my cantaloupe with dinner, weird or not.
