Mostly because I don’t like to be around a bunch of self-righteous people. I have found most people who run and work out excessively to be this type of person.

People who continually seek self improvement and growth often appear to be self-righteous to those who don't. Fact is, runners don't think about non runners as much as non-runners think they do. People generally run so they can be better than the person they would be if they didn't run but people think they're running to be better than them.
