Looks like a “ready to settle down” pic

McDs prices are a lot higher now but the food is somewhat better. They went back to toasted buns and other improvements.

Now, absolute trash and I think Jack in the Box is on par with them

I know y’all know people were making way less then…

They moved in heavy into the BR market a few years after they killed those people. Went from zero to maybe 8-10 locations. About half of them are still around. It's shite food, but I do crave an ultimate cheeseburger maybe once per year.

quote:Sure, but you can check the current prices with an inflation calculator and prices are still significantly ahead of inflation.

That was the McDonald's menu when I was in high school so 1992-1996'ish.
Pretty sure that’s correct—number 3 plus a can of Copenhagen for a $5 bill. Another $5 got you a 12 pack of Beast light. The good ole days!

We once were a grand and thriving society.

And it still slapped if it was fresh. Mcdonalds was amazing if it was fresh off the grill and the oil. Just almost never ever is, and that was my first job.

My dad would give me a $20 for the weekend and that thing lasted a while!

The few times I ate at the student union when visiting that MCD was fresh as hell and of the heezy

Life was better when it was yellow Wendy’s and McDonald’s catered to kids

That source must have drawn from California prices because a double cheeseburger and cajun Mcchicken were both $1 into the mid-late 2000s.

Mid to late 90s. If I had to nail down a year I would say probably 1997, but it could be 95-98.

I remember being able to buy a Big Mac combo at the McDonald's on Johnston St. for $5 back in 2007.
I know Dubya gets a lot of shite for spending billions overseas and the 07/08 recession but inflation was a small fraction of what it was during the last 3 administrations.
